We ocassionally get requests for removal of links from scan result pages to the original websites, mostly caused by concerns that these links will be considered as "artificial" by search engines and negatively impact page's ranking in the search results.

Google indeed prohibits artificial and misleading links, however, according Google's own guidance "links that don’t pass PageRank to the buyer of the ad do not violate our guidelines" and a recommended method for such linking is "addding a rel=nofollow attribute to the <a> tag"

In fact, all links from are always created with the rel=nofollow attribute, which complies with the recommended Google way of linking to third-party websites without passing PageRank.

If you however would like to remove the link to your website for any reason, please feel free to contact us.
